UFO researchers and campaigners from across the world are converging on the region this weekend for a conference organised by a Keighley man.

Anthony Beckett is spearheading the seventh annual British Exopolitics Expo, being held in Leeds.

Delegates are attending from as far afield as Australia and the USA.

The event, at the Leeds Beckett University on Saturday and Sunday, will feature a series of lectures and discussions.

Speakers will include author Pierre Sabak and Andrew Johnson, who will be examining claims of a secret space programme.

"The programme's advanced technology has given rise to some sightings of UFOs," said Mr Beckett, executive producer of Exopolitics Great Britain, an organisation that aims to raise awareness of the issues.

Mr Beckett will also address the conference, on connections between this area and UFOs.
