THE Princess Royal is visiting an international military uniform specialists in Haworth.
Princess Anne was greeted by the Deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Roger L’Amie and Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council chairman John Huxley when she arrived at Wyedean Weaving this lunchtime.
The visit is part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the factory which makes gold braid and military accoutrement.
The company's managing director Robin Wright said: "This is a landmark for us and we’re very pleased and privileged to have this visit by Her Royal Highness.
"All the staff are thrilled and we hope it will be of personal interest to her as of course she wears a lot of the products which we make."
Mr Wright flew back this morning from an international trade fair in Abu Dhabi for the visit, where he will return this evening.
