A RIDDLESDEN post office will be relaunched next month following a modernisation and refit.
The branch at 27 Bar Lane will be closing at 5.30pm on February 18 until the relaunch at 1pm on March 9 to enable the work to take place.
Once it reopens the branch will operate from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, with selected Post Office products and services available from the retail counter during shop opening hours, which will be from 6.30am to 10pm Monday to Saturday.
A spokesman for the Post Office said the opening hours are being extended by 42 hours a week.
Julie Kemp, area manager, said: “We’re making it easier for customers to get cash, send and collect mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are. We’re confident this post office will meet customer needs.”
