BLOOD cancer support charity, Leukaemia CARE, is urging businesses, schools and individuals in Bradford to save their used and unwanted postage stamps which can be exchanged for cash to help them provide support to patients and their families.
The appeal starts as part of Giving Tuesday tomorrow – a national day of giving which encourages people to give something back to a good cause.
Leukaemia CARE is encouraging people to get behind Giving Tuesday by recycling their old stamps. So far in 2014, the charity has received 140kg of stamps and is hoping to reach 200kg by the end of January.
Collectors need to ensure stamps have a centimetre of envelope around them and they are sent to: FREEPOST RLXX-RJRA-ACRH, Leukaemia CARE, One Birch Court, Blackpole East, Worcester, WR3 8SG.
