ACCOMMODATION providers across the Bradford district can now access a council grant to install an electric vehicle charging point and encourage environmentally-friendly tourism.
Hotels, B&Bs, and campsites can apply for £499 from the West Yorkshire Local Transport Plan to cover the costs of a wall-mounted charge point.
Cllr Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for environment and sport, said: “The best way to encourage visitors to use electric vehicles is to try and provide handy charging points.
“Encouraging the use of electric vehicles is one of the key features of our Low Emissions Strategy, which is one of the first in the country designed to reduce air pollution and improve health long-term.”
