A SMALL group of Bradford City fans got involved in a fracas with each other at the end of the Bantams’ defeat at Barnsley yesterday.
Punches were thrown and one man was seen forcefully grabbing another supporter on his face.
At least two women were caught up in the incident, which is believed to have started after some Bantams fans booed at the final whistle following City’s 3-1 loss.
It was City’s first away defeat in the league this season, and left them in seventh place in Sky Bet League One - and only out of the play-off places on goal difference. Other supporters talked about the trouble on social media after the game.
One described the fracas as embarrassing, and wrote: “It was really nasty. Lots of people involved. A woman was nearly knocked over.”
Another commented: “It started when some fans challenged some others for booing at the end.”
