BRADFORD West MP George Galloway has launched a fierce criticism of the police investigation into comments he made at a Respect party meeting, after volunteering to be interviewed by the West Yorkshire force.
Mr Galloway was interviewed under caution as part of an investigation into complaints made following comments about Bradford becoming an ‘Israel free zone’ weeks previously.
His comments were recorded and posted on Youtube, creating a heated debate and complaints to police.
Tonight Mr Galloway said: “This is a monumental waste of police time set off by people who apparently find it excusable to incinerate innocent children.
“I will not suffer any attempts to have my freedom of speech curtailed and I am confident at the end of this charade that my right to speak the truth will be upheld.”
