SHOCKED members of a Bradford community have spoken of their grief following the brutal murder of compatriots in Pakistan.
The city's Ahmadiyya Muslim Association's Eid celebrations have been marred by the news that three people, including an eight-month-old baby and seven-year-old girl, were killed when their home in Gujranwala was torched by extremists.
President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association for Bradford North Dr Mohammed Iqbal (pictured) said this week's Eid celebrations would be saddened by recent events which were a perseuction of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Pakistan.
"A large number of the community come from Gujranwala . I think it's tragic how inhumane some people have become," he said.
He said many people in Bradford were worried about friends and relatives.
The Association will celebrate Eid today at its Al-Mahdi Mosque in Undercliffe.
