THE air ambulance has been called to a road accident involving a young girl.
Ambulance and police attended Beacon Road, Wibsey, shortly after 8.30am today after receiving reports of the accident.
Paramedics said one vehicle was involved and have requested the air ambulance. One ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and a clinical supervisory team were at the scene.
The girl is thought to be seven.
The road is closed and diversions are in place.
Metro said the S8 Wibsey service could not complete its route and advised people at stops from Beacon Road onwards to make their own way to school.
