Incommunities’ tenants are being invited to a free money-saving event next month.

The ‘money talks’ conference takes place at The Life Centre, Wapping Road, Bradford, on Wednesday, April 2, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The event will include a workshop led by a representative from CHAS St Vincent’s, a short play about the danger of using loan sharks performed by the Shontal theatre group, a cook and eat demonstration by Jamie’s Ministry of Food and market stalls area where people can find out more about how welfare benefit changes can affect them.

People will also be given the opportunity to get involved in Incommunities’ work and help make sure it is focused on people’s needs. Everyone who signs up to become an ‘involved customer’ with the housing group will receive a £5 gift card.

Adrienne Reid, assistant chief executive of neighbourhood services, said: “This event focuses on giving valuable money saving advice, accessing local money management services and tips on cooking affordable nutritious meals.”

Tenants can book their place at incommunities.co.uk, by e-mailing craig.berry@incommunities.co.uk or by calling Craig Berry on (01274) 254749.

The closing date for bookings is Thursday, March 27.
