X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has been added to the line-up for this summer’s Oakwell Festival in Cleckheaton.
The 22-year-old joins fellow X Factor finalists Kingsland Road and chart-toppers the Hoosiers as main stage acts for the July 12 event at Oakwell Hall Country Park in aid of good causes.
More than 20 local, regional and national acts will perform. Confirmed are Famous Villains, The Littlemores, Aztec Doll, Rory Hoy and Mark Morris.
Organiser Paul Fisher said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of high-calibre bands that have applied to play the festival and we’ve had to put on a third acoustic stage to accommodate more acts. We’re delighted to have been able to attract such acts as Lucy to our first Oakwell Festival.”
Mr Fisher said: “We don’t have a big music festival in this part of West Yorkshire and, with the sad demise of Party in the Park in Leeds, Oakwell Festival offers an alternative local music event for all ages.”
Tickets, priced £20, are on sale at oakwellfestival.co.uk. Children under ten go free.
