Nathan Doyle limbered up for today's Valley Parade derby with Doncaster by declaring: I'm happy to stay at City.
The teenage defender, like the three other loan players, will learn his fate by the end of the week.
Derby boss Billy Davies has indicated he would be willing to let City keep Doyle and Lee Holmes if they can afford to.
Doyle is hoping the clubs can strike a deal and said: "I've definitely improved my game since being here and playing regularly.
"My fitness has got better; I feel my form has been quite consistent and I'm learning so much from working with guys like David Wetherall and Richard Edghill.
"Obviously it all depends on what the gaffers at both clubs say but I'd be happy if it does mean I stay. The lads have been great and the fans have made Lee and I feel welcome which we're very grateful for."
Having picked up a point at Yeovil, City want to cash in on back-to-back home games against Doncaster this afternoon and Cheltenham.
Rovers move to their new home on Monday and signed off at Belle Vue by beating League One leaders Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Doyle added: "Doncaster are doing well now so it's up to us to stop them. But we're concentrating on what we can do to them, not the other way round.
"The recent bad run left us all disappointed but we're picking up points again and the challenge is there to turn it round. If we keep hammering on the door, then hopefully we'll start rolling teams over like we were doing at the start of the season."
Holmes, sidelined by an ankle injury, could be back in contention today to solve Colin Todd's left-wing dilemma. Ben Parker struggled in the role at Huish Park after Joe Colbeck went down with tonsillitis on Friday night.
Todd said: "I intended to play Joe because of his pace but we had to leave him at the hotel. I didn't have any option other than to play Parker there because it didn't work with Bridge-Wilkinson on the left at Oldham and I didn't want to lose his partnership in the middle with Schumacher.
"People might say I'm always making excuses but I don't do that. The squad's a bit thin at the moment.
"We've got to see who's available to play on the left at home. But Doncaster are a very good attacking side and it's got all the makings of an exciting game."
