Steve Kittrick has been sacked by Guiseley following the club’s poor start to the Skrill North season.
Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Brackley spelt the end of the long-serving manager’s tenure and former Bradford City player Mark Bower has been placed in temporary charge.
Vice-chairman Phil Rogerson said: “Steve has done an excellent job over the last six years and we haven’t finished out of the top four in any of the six seasons he has been in charge.
“But we have had a disappointing start to the season after a disappointing end to last season, and so parted company with Steve this morning.”
Bower will take the reigns for the trip to Boston United on Saturday and his first home game will be a derby against Bradford Park Avenue on Tuesday, September 17.
