Ilkley Summer Festival will include a host of smaller events, including free walks and open studio events for art lovers.
A series of heritage guided walks are being organised throughout the festival month as part of the Festival Fringe.
The organised walks explore Ilkley’s history and heritage, ranging from Charlotte Bronte’s visits to Ilkley, to a look at prehistoric Rombalds Moor.
Artists Joy Godfrey, Chris Bailey and Ken Jaquiery will open their studios on Back Nelson Road on three Sunday afternoons during the month, to give art lovers a closer look at their artwork and methods.
The Yorkshire Festival Tea dance will make its return on August 3, featuring music from the New Horizons Dance Band.
Good food and drink will also be in the spotlight with events including a chance to try beer and ‘yapas’ – Yorkshire tapas – at the Wheatley Arms on August 15.
