Newly restored windows at Haworth’s Old School Room will be on display at an open day and fundraiser next month.
The windows were fully installed over the past few weeks, and the public can get a closer look at the restoration project at a cake and book sale in the hall on May 5.
The building is famous for being built by Patrick Bronte, father of the Bronte sisters. £18,000 has been spent by Bradford Council and English Heritage to restore five windows to their original gothic design.
The sale will be raising funds for St Michael’s And All Angels Church roof repair fund – the church needs £1.5 million to restore the building.
People are encouraged to donate any unwanted books, and there is a collection box in St Michael’s to drop books off any time before the day of the sale.
The event starts at 11.30am.
