Snow and ice have scuppered a planned open day at the 240-year-old Dowley Gap aqueduct on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal near Bingley.
Originally planned for Sunday, the event has been postponed to Sunday, February 17.
The Open Day will allow the public to walk along a 50- metre drained section of Dowley Gap Aqueduct, as well as the neighbouring two-rise lock flight.
Iain Weston, acting waterway manager for the North West region, said: “The teams have been working extremely hard to get the site prepared for the weekend but the snow and freezing temperatures have caused delays.”
The Dowley Gap Open Day will run from 10am to 4pm with last entry at 3.15pm. Event parking has been provided by Emerald Group Publishing Ltd, Wagon Lane, Bingley, BD16 1WA (off Bradford Road).
