Staff at a Bradford dental supplies business are waiting to see whether the acquisition of another UK company by its American owners will affect jobs.
About 20 staff work at Henry Schein Pro Care on the Euroway estate which is the UK headquarters for Schein's UK healthcare equipment business.
Operations include sales and service, purchasing and stocking of equipment and parts, surgery CAD/CAM design, a showroom, and technical support for the field engineers.
Schein says staff consultations will follow its acquisition of Cardiff-based Minerva Dental Ltd, but acknowledged a small number of redundancies could follow the deal.
Susan Vassallo, Henry Schein's vice-president, corporate communications, said: "We are proposing to integrate Henry Schein and Minerva and looking at the operation with both teams.
"Our proposal calls for retaining a significant presence in Cardiff and some areas will be strengthened with new positions. However, some functions may change and a small number of current positions may be redundant.
"We are working in consultation with employees to ensure a seamless transition."
