2016 marks the 150th anniversary of Henry Barrett founding Barrett Steel. From 1866 to 2016, Barrett Steel has grown both organically and by acquisition from a one man company based in Bradford, to the largest independent steel stockholder in the UK.

The company now consists of more than 40 companies operating from 29 locations as far afield as Montrose in Scotland, Exeter in England and Houston, Texas. Our head office and one of our main stockholding and processing sites remains in Bradford.

The company, which is split into four specialist divisions, offers a comprehensive range of steel products and processing services.

These divisions supply extensive ranges of general steels, engineering steels and tubular products to various market sectors. State of the art processing services include cutting, drilling, shotblasting and painting, profiling and laser tube cutting.
