DIY retailer Wickes has opened a new store in Otley Road, Shipley, in a move that has created 22 jobs.
The new store includes a dedicated garden project centre, kitchen and bathroom design consultants in the showroom and a paint mixing station. It also houses Tile Giant and Toolstation.
Shoppers are being offered the chance to win £10,000 worth of DIY products as well as special prices next weekend.
Stuart Renton, store manager, said: “We’re thrilled to finally be opening our doors and welcoming customers from Shipley and the surrounding region. The store launch has seen 22 jobs created in the area and the team are excited to start sharing their expertise with visitors to the store and help people make their DIY dreams come to life.”
Ian Crook, Wickes chief marketing officer, praised the quality of the new store. added : “The launch of the new Shipley store provides the area with a new go-to destination for quality products which cater for a variety of DIY needs.”
