THE boss of a Saltaire-based technology company behind pioneering digital healthcare products will be seeking investment and new business opportunities at a major international trade event in the United States next week.
John Eaglesham, chief executive of Advanced Digital Institute, is heading to Washington as part of an official ministerial health trade delegation.
He will be joining business and life sciences minister George Freeman and senior representatives of NHS England at the three day Health DataPalooza expo in the US capital.
The exhibition provides a major platform for those creating pioneering innovations that drive health policy and practice and generate market value.
John said: “The event in Washington will showcase the very latest innovations in digital healthcare and will demonstrate how these new technologies can improve patient outcomes and integrated data sharing as well as reducing the burden on health services globally.
“Smart technology allows us to work more efficiently and effectively with apps and digital platforms, such as Painsense and Meds Minder developed in recent times by ADI, providing patients with information and opportunities to self manage their conditions.
“I’m delighted to be part of the delegation and I will be using the event to promote Painsense, source inward investment for ADI and network with key digital health organisations and individuals in North America. It’s a chance to both learn and share best practice.”
ADI was founded as the research and development innovation agency by Yorkshire Forward. In 2010 it became independent and has since won many awards for its work in technology and healthcare with private and public sector clients around the world. The company currently employs 25 people.
Meanwhile, another Saltaire-based technology business has released its latest software to help boost manufacturing efficiency.
Cimlogic says OEE Express will give manufacturers the edge over their competition by improving effectiveness, increasing output and reducing downtime.
