A Bradford road had to be temporarily closed after lorry caught ablaze.
The drama happened in Harrogate Road, Undercliffe, shortly after 9am yesterday.
The lorry driver pulled up when he saw smoke billowing from it and tried unsuccessfully to put out the fire with an extinguisher.
Fire crews from Idle and Bradford arrived shortly afterwards and put out the blaze but the vehicle was destroyed.
Harrogate Road was closed for about half an hour while the incident was dealt with.
