A MAN has been in court after he stole a council sign and a vacuum cleaner.
Christopher Hewitson, of Aireworth Street in Keighley, committed three theft offences between February 21 and March 19 of this year.
The 45-year-old began his spree at New Look on Cavendish Street where he stole a vacuum cleaner, worth £80, from the B&M.
Four days later, Hewitson took various clothing items, to the value of £52.91, from the New Look in the Airedale Shopping Centre on Bow Street.
A Keighley Town Council sign was also taken on March 19.
Hewitson was given a community order after indicating a guilty plea when his case was heard at Bradford Magistrates Court last Friday (April 5).
He must also pay £52.91 in compensation.
